Team spirit and competitive tennis return to the courts at Marsa Sports Club with the much-anticipated Yonex Team Tournament 2025. Organised by the Tennis & Padel Section of the club, this annual event brings together tennis lovers for a fun, social yet fiercely competitive competition.
The tournament kicks off on Wednesday, 21st May 2025, and will run over several weeks with a shared Finals Day for both Men and Women on Wednesday, 18th June.
This year’s tournament is supported by Tennis Trade — the pro shop at Marsa Sports Club run by Maltese tennis legend Gordon Asciak, offering everything from rackets to shoes and accessories.

Padel is back in the spotlight at Marsa Sports Club with the Finductive Marsa Padel Open 2025 – a premier tournament attracting top local and international players.
Organised by the Tennis & Padel Section of Marsa Sports Club and sanctioned by the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation, this event is set to deliver intense match play, fantastic energy, and a celebration of one of the fastest-growing sports in Malta.
With a €3,000 prize pool, players will be competing for glory in two exciting events: the Mixed Doubles Event and the Men’s & Women’s Doubles Events.

Marsa Sports Club is dedicated to maintaining and improving our facilities to provide a better experience for all members. This week, we began an important upgrade to the Children’s Playground Trellis, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing space for our younger visitors and their families.
Work officially started yesterday, with the replacement of the old trellis columns. The new franka stone columns were chosen to better complement both the playground setting and the club’s historic main clubhouse, preserving the club’s traditional aesthetic while enhancing the durability of the structure.
The trellis is an integral part of the children’s play area, offering shade and structure while blending seamlessly into the surroundings. The decision to use franka stone reflects our commitment to maintaining the club’s heritage while investing in long-lasting materials .
We anticipate that the work will be completed by the end of next week, weather permitting. During this period, we kindly ask for your patience as we carry out the necessary improvements. Once finished, the playground area will continue to be a safe and enjoyable space for families and young members to gather, play, and relax.
