The Sicilia Outlet Village American Afternoon Tennis Tournament returns to Marsa Sports Club on Tuesday 8 December 2026, bringing mixed doubles tennis to the Club on the public holiday.
With play starting at 2:00pm, the tournament offers an afternoon of competitive but fast-moving tennis, with changing partners, two playing divisions and €1,200 in Sicilia Outlet Village shopping vouchers to be won.
An Afternoon of American-Style Tennis
Players will compete across two divisions:
Division A – Higher-ranked players, playing on Courts 1–5
Division B – Intermediate players, playing on Courts 6–10
Partners will change throughout the afternoon, giving players the opportunity to compete alongside and against different participants as the tournament progresses.
Five Matches
Each player will compete in five matches of seven games each.
Every game won counts as one point towards the player’s overall score.
A deciding point will be played on the second deuce, with men serving to men and ladies serving to ladies.
Changing Partners and Courts
After each match, the winning men move one court up while the winning ladies move one court down.
Players from the losing pair remain on the same court, creating new partnerships and opponents for the following round.
At the end of the tournament, the highest-scoring Men’s and Ladies’ players in each division will determine the winners and runners-up.
€1,200 in Sicilia Outlet Village Vouchers
A total of €1,200 in Sicilia Outlet Village shopping vouchers will be awarded as prizes across the tournament.
The event is proudly sponsored by Sicilia Outlet Village, continuing its support of tennis events at Marsa Sports Club.
Who Can Take Part?
The tournament is open to paid-up Marsa Sports Club Tennis & Padel Section members, including junior players aged 14 and over.
Players should have previous match experience, be able to serve consistently and maintain a rally.

All players are also asked to bring a pen to complete their score sheet after each match.
First Come, First Served
Places are limited and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so players intending to take part are encouraged to register early.
