Innovative Greens Ralph Asciak Rainbow Tennis Tournament

The Marsa Sports Club Tennis & Padel Section is pleased to announce the return of the Innovative Greens Ralph Asciak Rainbow Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament — a lively event where strategy and team spirit take centre stage. This September, players are invited to team up and take part in a unique format designed to level the playing field and spark friendly competition.

Tournament Format

The tournament will consist of five teams playing in a round-robin format. Each player must pair up with a partner of the same playing level, forming a mixed team.

There will be no designated team captains, and rules will be kept simple to allow more focus on play.

Match Schedule

Matches will take place during the following evenings:

• 15–18 September
• 22–25 September
• 29 September–02 October
• 06–09 October (reserved for any postponed matches)

Match times will be either 7:00 PM or 8:30 PM.

Eligibility & Conditions

• Open to Marsa Sports Club Tennis & Padel Section members and juniors aged 14+
• Players should have match experience, serve consistently, and be able to maintain a rally
• Matches will consist of 2 normal sets (tie-break at 6) with a deciding point on the second Deuce. A Super tie-break (till 10) will be played at 1 set all
• Points awarded as follows: If a pair wins the match 2 sets to 0, they earn 3 points. If a pair wins the match 2 sets to 1, they earn 2 points, while the losing pair earns 1 point.
• Cost of Lights is included in the €15 entry fee
• Players listed on the left of the fixture must supply new balls for the match
• No matches will be played on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays
• Prizes will be awarded to both 1st and 2nd placed Teams
• Postponements due to rain are accommodated. Other postponements must be made within 10 days, or the match will be forfeited.
