Padel League Round 2 at Marsa Sports Club

Marsa Sports Club is pleased to announce the start of Round 2 of the Marsa Just Sports Padel League, set to begin in February 2025. Exclusively for club members, this league is the perfect opportunity to enjoy competitive yet friendly matches, test your skills, and connect with fellow members.

League Format

The league will follow a round-robin format, ensuring each team in a division plays against all others. Key details include:

• Pre-Defined Match Days: Each Day will include specific matchups, such as:
  • Day 1: Team A vs Team B; Team C vs Team D.
• Scheduling Matches:
  • Teams must agree on the date and time of their matches.
  • Each match day must be completed within a 3-week timeframe.
• Match Defaults:
  • If a team cannot play within the 3-week period, the victory will be awarded to the opposing team.

This format ensures flexibility while keeping the league on track.

Scoring System

Points will be awarded as follows to recognise performance and active participation:

• Match Points:
  • 3 points for a 2-0 win.
  • 2 points for a 2-1 win.
  • 1 point for a 1-2 loss.
• Bonus Points:
  • 1 extra point will be awarded at the end of the round for every match played.
  • 2 extra points will be awarded to teams that complete all scheduled matches.

This system encourages full participation and rewards consistency.

Promotion and Relegation

To maintain a competitive balance, there will be division changes based on performance:

• The top 2 teams in each division will be promoted to a higher division.
• The bottom 2 teams will be relegated to a lower division.

This structure ensures every match is meaningful and provides an opportunity for all teams to grow.
