On Sunday 4 October, Marsa Sports Club will come alive with a full programme of activity for MSC BeActive 2026.
The day will bring together Tennis, Padel, Snooker and Cricket, with something happening across the Club from morning through to the evening.
What makes the day especially accessible is that entry to all BeActive events is free.
Members are also encouraged to invite non-member friends to take part, making the event a good opportunity to enjoy the Club together, try something different and introduce more people to the sports played at Marsa.
MSC BeActive 2026 is designed to encourage people to get involved rather than simply watch from the sidelines.
Across the day, participants will be able to choose from a mix of traditional competition and faster, more unusual formats, with events suitable for different playing levels and experience.
The event is open to participants aged 14 and over.
Tennis will feature two very different competitions.
The Clay Court Singles Tournament will give players the chance to compete in short match tie-breaks, with separate Men A, Men B, Ladies A and Ladies B divisions.
For something even quicker, the One Point Challenge will reduce each match to a single point.
Win it and you move on. Lose it and your tournament is over.
It is a simple format, but one where every serve, return and decision immediately matters.
The Padel programme will feature a mixed tournament across two categories.
B Category will be aimed at intermediate players, while C Category will cater for high beginners.
With both categories taking place during the day, it gives players at different levels the chance to compete as part of the same BeActive programme.
The BeActive Snooker Tournament will run across two round-robin sessions.
One group will compete during the morning, followed by a second group in the afternoon.
The winners of the two sessions will then meet in the final to decide the overall tournament winner.
The Cricket section will also be part of the day, with Marsa Sports Club taking on touring side Harrow CC.
The match is expected to begin at around 11:00am and continue into the late afternoon, followed by the trophy presentation.
The strength of MSC BeActive 2026 is that the whole day is not built around one competition.
Tennis, Padel, Snooker and Cricket will all be running as part of the same programme, creating a full day of activity across different areas of the Club.
Members can take part in their chosen events, support friends competing elsewhere, or simply spend the day enjoying the atmosphere around the Club.
All BeActive events are free to enter and are open to both members and non-members.
Members are encouraged to invite friends who are not currently part of the Club to join them for the day.
It is an easy way to introduce someone to Marsa Sports Club, experience the facilities and enjoy sport in a relaxed but competitive setting.
