The KULU Marsa Junior Open returns in March 2026, bringing together junior players across multiple singles and doubles categories.

Entry fees

Singles: €15 per singles event
Doubles: €10 for one doubles event (per player)

  • These fees must be submitted with the entry form.
  • Players may enter a maximum of 3 events (maximum of 2 singles and 1 doubles).
  • Officials reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason.
  • If fewer than 8 entries are received for an event, that event may not be held and fees will be refunded.
  • Players must be available to play up to the last tournament date.

Applications with an invalid MTPF Registration number (Malta Tennis & Padel Federation Annual Subscription) will not be considered.

Conditions

  • A preliminary round (or rounds) may be played if any event attracts more than 16 entries.
  • A schedule of play will be drawn up at the start of the tournament. Players must be available to play at any time and on any day and must also be prepared to play 2 matches on any one day. Players must also be prepared to play or continue unfinished matches under floodlights and if necessary, on different courts. During the week, the first session will be scheduled at around 4.30pm, with the second session (if required) to follow.
  • Fixtures of the following days will be posted on the MSC Tennis noticeboard, and every effort will be made to have them posted on the website. Notwithstanding this, it is the responsibility of each player to find out when they are scheduled to play each day. Players arriving more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled match may be scratched at the discretion of the referee/organisers.
  • All matches will be played in accordance with the current International Tennis Federation rules. Players guilty of bad behaviour or any unsportsmanlike action may be warned, suspended, or disqualified by the Referee of the day, whose decision will be final.
  • Scoring: All matches will be best of 3 sets with a tie break operating at 6 ALL in all sets, except for Under 10 and Doubles categories – No Advantage and 3rd set tiebreak.
  • No complaint in connection with the tournament can be made to the Referee / Supervisor unless made in writing within 48 hours of the occurrence and no application for leave to appeal against any decision of the Referee/Supervisor can be entertained by the Council of the M.T.F. unless made in writing and lodged with the Secretary of the Association within 48 hours.
  • The organisers reserve the right to alter or modify the program and conditions in any way that they deem fit.
  • Application forms with an invalid MTPF Registration number (Malta Tennis & Padel Federation Annual Subscription) will not be considered for this tournament.

Presentation

Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up of the various events during a presentation ceremony immediately following the finals on Sunday 22 March 2026.
