The Tennis Trade Ralph Asciak Rainbow Mixed Doubles Tournament returns this September, bringing together mixed doubles pairs for a social but competitive round-robin tournament at the Marsa Sports Club.
Players must register with a selected mixed doubles partner of the same playing level. Applications that do not meet this requirement cannot be accepted.
There will be no team captains, with the tournament designed around a straightforward format and a limited set of rules.

Tournament Format
The tournament will consist of five groups, with each group playing on around-robin basis.
Players will generally compete once or twice per week across four scheduled dates. Matches will begin at either:
Fixtures and playing times will be determined by the Organising Committee. Matches will consist of two normal sets, with a tie-break at 6–6. A super tiebreak to 10 points will be played if the match reaches one set all.
At the second deuce, a deciding point will be played, with men serving to men and women serving to women.
Points System
Prizes will be awarded to the pairs finishing in first and second place in their respective groups.
Entry Fee
The tournament entry fee is €15 per player.
The cost of court lighting is included in the entry fee. Players listed on the lefthand side of the fixture will be responsible for providing new tennis balls.
Postponed Matches
Except for matches postponed because of rain, any postponed encounter must be played within 10 days of its original scheduled date.
The player requesting the postponement will be responsible for arranging the alternative date and time, informing their partner, opponents and organisers, and covering the court costs for the rearranged match.
All postponed matches must be completed by Thursday 15 October 2026.
Presentation
The tournament presentation will be held together with the presentations for the Robbie Scerri Team Tournament 2026 and the Campus Hub MSC Singles Ladder in November 2026. Further details will be announced closer to the date.

Registration is available online, or applications may be submitted at the Marsa Sports Club Reception.
Both players must be named when submitting the registration, and the pair must be of the same playing level.
