Snooker Tournament 2026 – Indoor Games Section

Tournament Details

    • Dates: 26th January to 8th March 2026
    • Entry Fee: €15
    • Application Deadline: Friday 16th January 2026

Conditions

The matches will be played in a best-of-5 frames format.
The results of each match, including the number of frames won and lost, must be reported to the committee member responsible for the tournament via WhatsApp immediately after the match.

Determining the Winner

In the case of a tournament consisting of one group, the player who accumulates the highest number of matches won, will be declared the champion.
If the tournament consists of two groups, the champion will be determined through a knockout stage in which the winner of Group A plays the runner-up of Group B, and the winner of Group B plays the runner-up of Group A. The winners of these two matches will then compete in a best-of-seven final.
If two players end with an equal number of matches won at the end of the tournament played in a round-robin format, the winner of their direct encounter will be declared the tournament champion. This rule also applies in the case of a tournament played with more than one group to determine the group winner.
If more than two players tie for first place with the same number of match wins, the winner will be decided by the highest frames-won to frames-lost difference. If they are still level, their ranking will be determined by total frames won.

Full Snooker Regulations – Except One Rule

In instances of a foul due to a snooker, the re-spotting of the white ball is prohibited; however, all other regulations remain in effect.

Fair Play

Strive to uphold fair play in every situation, particularly when a snooker player unintentionally contacts a ball using the cue or any part of their clothing. Even if the incident goes unnoticed by the opponent, the player responsible for the foul should promptly acknowledge it and allow the appropriate penalty points to be awarded.

Postponements and No-Show Policy

If a player needs to cancel or reschedule a match for any reason, they must notify their opponent at least one (1) day in advance. Both players should then mutually agree on a new date and time, and the updated match details must be promptly communicated to the organisers.
Any player who fails to appear for their match within 15 minutes after the scheduled time shall forfeit the match. The match will be awarded to the opponent with a score of 3-0.
