Tournament Details

• • Dates: 27th April to 27th June 2026
  • Entry Fee: €15
  • Application Deadline: Monday 20th April 2026
  • League is for paid members of the Snooker Section

Tournament Format

The tournament will be structured into multiple divisions (3 or 4) depending on the total number of registered players. This ensures a fair and balanced level of competition throughout the event. Divisions Players will be grouped into divisions based on skill level:

• Division 1 – Advanced players
• Division 2 – Intermediate players
• Division 3 – Developing / Beginner players
• (Division 4 will be added if the number of entries requires further grouping)

The organisers will determine player placement to ensure competitive v balance.

Determining the Winner of each Division

Each division will follow a league (round-robin) format:

• • Each match will consist of 3 frames, and all frames must be played.
  • Each match awards 1 point to the winner
  • The league table of each division is mainly ordered by:
    • (a) Points from matches won
    • (b) Then frame difference (frames won minus frames lost)

Division Champions

• The player finishing 1st in each division will be declared the Champion of that Division

Promotion & Relegation

To maintain a competitive structure across divisions:

• The top 2 players in each division will be promoted to the next higher division
• The bottom 2 players in each division will be relegated to the next lowerdivision
• (Promotion/relegation does not apply beyond the highest and lowest divisions)

Awards

• Champion of each division
• Players with the highest aggregate frames

Additional Information

• Match schedules and tournament rules will be provided before the start of the tournament
• Players must indicate their unavailable dates on the application
• Each player is allowed a maximum of one walkover during the tournament. Any player who concedes more than one walkover will be disqualified from the competition.
• This format is designed to ensure fair competition, meaningful progression between divisions, and maximum playtime for all participants.
