DATES: 15/16/17/18, 22/23/24/25, 29/30 SEPTEMBER; 1/2 OCTOBER.
BACKUP DATES IN CASE OF RAINED OFF ENCOUNTERS: 6/7/8/9 OCTOBER.
The tournament will consist of 5 groups. Each group will play each other on a round robin basis.
Contrary to other tournaments players are to join WITH a selected partner of SAME level of play (MIXED). (We regret that we will not accept applications where this condition is not adhered to).
There will be no Captains in this tournament and rules will be kept to a minimum.
Players will have to play once or twice a week on 4 of the above dates at either 7.00pm or 8.30pm as scheduled by the organising committee.
Play will consist of 2 normal sets (tie-break at 6 all), with a deciding point on 2nd deuce. A super tie-break (to 10) is to be played at 1 set all.
Points awarded as follows:
If a pair wins the match 2 sets to 0, they earn 3 points.
If a pair wins the match 2 sets to 1, they earn 2 points while the losing pair earns 1 points.
Cost of lights included in entrance fee.
Players placed on left of fixtures to supply new balls. No matches will be scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The tournament fee is €15 per player.
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd placed groups.
Postponements
Postponed matches (except those rained off) must be played within 10 days of the scheduled date otherwise points will be forfeited by the player requesting the postponement. The deadline for any postponed matches is Thursday 16th October 2025. Any pending matches will not be played after this date.
The player requesting the postponement is responsible for setting an alternative date and time for the postponed match to be played. Payments of courts for postponed matches shall be at the expense of the player requesting the postponement.
Postponements due to bad weather will have to be recovered during the tournament on days indicated by the Tennis & Padel Committee.
A WALK OVER WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OPPOSING PLAYERS WHO WILL NOT SHOW UP FOR THE MATCH (EITHER THE SCHEDULED OR THE POSTPONED MATCH).

Any personal data in this application shall be retained for administrative purposes at the offices of Marsa Sports Club in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the EU Regulation 2016/679 (‘GDPR’). Such data will be held to process the application and if necessary, share it with other participants. Personal data in the application will be kept until the audit of the Club for that financial year end and subsequently destroyed.
Marsa Sports Club informs the participants that photographs and videos will be taken during the tournament, which the Club will use and display on its website and any other media platforms. This decision was taken in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR for the legitimate interest of the Club to organise/host the tournament, and showcase the tournament to the public.
