The Perrier Doubles League 2026 runs from 29 June to 26 July 2026 and is open to Marsa Sports Club Tennis & Padel Section members,
including juniors aged 14+.
This league is built around balanced match-ups: players must enter with a selected doubles partner of the same playing level.
(Applications will not be accepted if this condition is not adhered to.)
Tournament Format
- The tournament will consist of 5 groups.
- Each group will play on a round-robin basis (each pair plays the other pairs in their group)
- Matches are scheduled by the organiser and will be played once or twice per week, Monday to Thursday, at either:
- No matches will be scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.
- Any A+ ladies may be placed in the men’s division, depending on their level.
Match Rules
- Matches are played as 2 normal sets.
- Tie-break at 6–all.
- Deciding point on the 2nd deuce.
- If players draw in sets, a 3rd set will be played as a super tie-break
(to 10 points)
Fees and Playing Conditions
- Entry fee: €16 per player
- Court fees are included in the entry fee (including cost of lights).
Balls: Players placed on the left-hand side of the fixtures must provide new balls.
Postponements
- Postponements due to bad weather will be played during tournament days indicated by the organiser.
- Postponed matches (except those rained off) must be played within 10 days of the scheduled date, otherwise points will be forfeited by the player requesting the postponement.
- The player requesting postponement is responsible for setting an alternative date/time and informing partner, opponents and the organisers.
- Payment of courts for postponed matches is at the expense of the player requesting the postponement.
- The deadline for any postponed matches is 26 July 2026 (or as otherwise stated by the organiser).
Unavailable dates declared on the application will be considered. If scheduling is not possible, any postponement will be at the expense of the organiser.
Prizes and Presentation
- Prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd placed groups.
- Presentation will be held in September, together with the Clay Tournament and Victor Pace Floodlit Tournament presentations (date to be advised).
Entry Requirements
Players are expected to have an adequate knowledge of the game, previous match experience, can serve consistently, and keep a rally
going.
