The Mazda Robbie Scerri Tennis Team Tournament returns to Marsa Sports Club, bringing together eight teams for a multi-week doubles competition played across selected Saturday afternoons. Sponsored by Mazda, the tournament combines Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles in a team format, with both Main Draw and Plate competitions ensuring that all eight teams remain involved through to Final Day.
Tournament Dates
Matches will be played on the following Saturdays:
17 October
7 November
14 November
21 November
28 November – Final Day
Play starts at 2:00pm.
There will be no scheduled tournament play on 24 or 31 October.
Additional rain contingency dates have been reserved for 5 and 6 December. If Final Day on 28 November is rained off, play will take place on Sunday 29 November.
Tournament Format
Eight teams, each led by a captain, will compete in the tournament.
The teams will be divided into two groups and will initially play a round-robin stage. At the end of the group stage:

Match Format
Each match will consist of two sets.
A standard tie-break will be played if a set reaches 6–6.
Player Availability
Players may declare one unavailable tournament date.
Any unavailable date must be clearly indicated when applying, and players should otherwise be available throughout the tournament period.
Players who are uncertain about their availability are encouraged to contact the organisers before submitting their application.
Rain Arrangements
If a Saturday encounter is rained off, it will be rescheduled for the Sunday afternoon of the following weekend.
If Final Day on Saturday 28 November is affected by rain, play will move to Sunday 29 November.
Additional contingency dates of 5 and 6 December have also been reserved should further rescheduling be required.
Who Can Enter?
The tournament is open to:
Players should have an adequate knowledge of tennis and previous match experience, including the ability to serve consistently and maintain a rally.
Entry Fee
€20 per player
Tournament Presentation
The tournament presentation will be held together with the Tennis Trade Ralph Asciak Rainbow Mixed Doubles Tournament and Singles Ladder presentation in November 2026.
