The Hotel Pjazza Merkanti International Marsa Sports Club Squash Open will take place from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 September, bringing three days of competitive squash to Marsa Sports Club.
The tournament will feature a PSA Men’s Event, together with four mixed categories designed for players at different levels.
Event Categories
Playing Schedule
Matches on Thursday 17 September and Friday 18 September will be scheduled from 5:00pm onwards. Matches on Saturday 19 September will begin from 10:00am and continue throughout the day.
An optional presentation dinner will follow on Saturday evening. Further details will be announced closer to the event.
PSA Men’s Event
The Men’s Open will be registered with the Professional Squash Association as a PSA Satellite Event.
The event will feature a 16-player main draw and a total prize fund of US$1,000, distributed as follows:
Mixed Events
The Mixed A, B, C and D events will group players according to their playing level, helping to ensure competitive matches throughout the tournament.
Winners of the mixed events will receive non-cash prizes.
Entering Two Events
Players may enter a maximum of two events.
Anyone entering a second event must select both events on the registration form. The second event must be one level above the player’s usual playing standard and remains subject to approval by the Tournament Director. Players entering two events should pay the standard fee for their first event when registering. The additional €5 fee for the second event will be paid at the tournament.
