Touring team Charter House Friars CC faced off against MSC Sundreams XI on a sunny Saturday morning T20 match.

Charter House won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening pair made the most of the powerplay posting 52 runs in the first 6 overs.

The MSC bowlers then managed to stop the flow of runs, taking 3 wickets, with drinks being taken at the 10 over mark, the tourists on 74/3.

Charter House batted extremely well during the middle overs, punishing any loose balls and running exceptionally well between the wickets. Despite losing 4 wickets in the final 3 overs, Charter House posted a challenging total of 188/8 in their 20 overs.

Pick of the bowlers was Jaz Cable, taking 3/29 in his 4 overs and Vaibhav Rana with 2/30 in his four overs.

MSC lost both openers early thanks to some exceptional catches by the Charter House wicketkeeper. MSC Captain for the day, Heinrich Gericke then went on the attack, helping the team to 82/2 after 10 overs, scoring a half century from 26 balls.

Gericke fell shortly after the drinks break and Charter House managed to wrestle back momentum through a disciplined bowling and fielding display during the middle overs.

Despite a late flurry or runs in the final 2 overs by the MSC batsmen, Charter House managed to pick up an impressive win by 18 runs, with MSC posting 170/8 in their 20 overs.
