If you’re wondering what Summer Camp at Marsa Sports Club actually feels like for children, the easiest way to explain it is to walk you through a typical day — the routines, the energy, and the mix of activity and downtime that keeps children happy, engaged, and coming back the next morning.
Every day has its own rhythm, and while activities vary depending on the group and the week, the focus stays the same: a safe, welcoming environment where children can be active, make friends, and enjoy a summer they’ll remember.
Summer Camp starts with a relaxed check-in where children arrive, meet their leaders, get their group sticker and ease into the day. Some head straight into games with friends from the previous day, while others take a little time to settle — especially in the first week. Our team keeps a close eye on everyone, making sure each child feels included from the start.
Once everyone is in, groups are organised and the day begins with simple, fun activities that get children moving and smiling.

The mornings are usually the most energetic part of the day. You’ll see group games, team challenges, and activities that help children build confidence — not just in physical activity, but in social skills too. For many children, summer camp is where they learn to try new things, join in more easily, and enjoy being part of a group.
Activities rotate so children don’t feel stuck doing the same thing every day. Some games are fast-paced and competitive, others are more cooperative, but the aim is always to keep things fun, positive, and age-appropriate.

A good summer camp day isn’t non-stop running. Throughout the morning there are calmer moments — chatting with coaches and friends, simple challenges, and group activities that allow children to reset while still feeling engaged. These breaks also help balance different personalities: not every child wants high intensity all day, and that’s completely normal.

For many children, the pool is one of the best parts of the week. The pool experience is carefully supervised and structured, giving children a fun way to cool down while still staying active. Whether it’s confidence-building time in the water, group pool games, or simply enjoying a well-earned splash, it becomes a moment that children look forward to.
Parents often tell us that the pool side of summer camp is a big reason their children leave happy and tired — in the best possible way.

One of the most valuable things about summer camp isn’t listed on any schedule: friendships. Over the course of a day, children naturally find their friends — through teams, games, shared jokes, and the small moments in between. For some children, camp is where they grow socially the most, especially if they’re shy at the start.

As the day wraps up, the pace slows. Children gather their things, groups check out, and parents arrive to pick up a child who has usually had a full, active morning. It’s the kind of routine that works — structured enough to feel organised, but relaxed enough to feel like summer.
If you’d like your child to be part of Marsa Sports Club Summer Camp this year, you can find all details and registration on the Summer Camp page here: https://marsasportsclub.com/summer-camp/
We look forward to welcoming children back to the Club for another summer of activity, friendships, and fun.
Last Friday, Marsa Sports Club hosted Girls Just Wanna Have Fun — a lively Ladies’ Night with an 80s/90s theme, great music, and a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. It was a lovely way to celebrate together, with plenty of singing, dancing, and good energy throughout the night.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.
We extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors Amai and Toni & Guy for their support, and to Kulu Bar & Bistro for helping make the night such a great experience.
A special thank you also goes to the Events Committee members for their time and work in organising and running the event.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Marsa Sports Club for more social events in the weeks ahead.
March is a proper “full Club” month at Marsa — with activity across the grounds, a strong run of tennis and padel, cricket fixtures, golf dates, indoor games, and a few key diary moments for members.
This post is here for one simple reason: so you can plan ahead, pick what you want to be part of, and not miss the things that matter to you.
What March looks like at the Club
You’ll notice March has a bit of everything:

If you’re playing, keep an eye on our hannels for schedules and updates. If you’re not playing, March is still a great month to come down — a couple of matches, a coffee at the clubhouse, and you’ll quickly feel the rhythm of what’s happening.
Want to get more involved?
If there’s something on the March calendar you’ve been meaning to try — this is the month to do it. A lot of these events are built around community and participation, not just results. Check the March events graphic for the full list — and we’ll be sharing reminders and updates as the month moves along.
From 28 March to 4 April 2026, Marsa Sports Club will host the RICOH ITF U/18 World Ranking Tournament (J60), an international junior tennis tournament where players compete for ITF World Ranking points.
With support from SportMalta, this event brings a full week of competitive junior tennis to the Club and gives local supporters a great opportunity to watch upcoming talent at close range.
Junior tournaments like this are where future stars build match experience, learn to handle pressure, and start climbing the international ladder. For Maltese juniors, playing at home is a big moment — and having a home crowd makes a real difference.
We encourage members and guests to come down during the week, enjoy the matches, and support our Maltese juniors throughout the tournament.
Spectator entry is free of charge, and the tournament is open to non-members as well — feel free to invite friends and family to come and watch.
This tournament is sponsored by RICOH, and we thank them for supporting junior sport and bringing international competition to Marsa Sports Club.
The FUEL10K Squash Open last Saturday saw a great turnout, with more than 50 players competing across all grades. It was a full day of exciting matches and excellent sportsmanship, with strong support around the courts throughout the tournament.
Junior players made a real impact across the day. Luca Michelotti showed clear progress to win the D event, with Andrew Micallef St John finishing 2nd and junior Alexis De Giorgio 3rd. Promising juniors Zach Mifsud, Dean Borg, George Borg, Gwen Formosa and Tamsin Formosa also impressed.
In the C event, Adam Csanyi took the win, with 10-year-old Kai Ben-Ari finishing an impressive 2nd and Peter van der Watt 3rd. Junior Jamie Grima also showed encouraging improvement during the tournament.
The B grade produced the most closely contested matches. Mark Zammit Vincenti overcame Venita De Giorgio in a thrilling quarter-final before defeating Brian Tonna and then Ollie Raine in the final. Well done also to juniors Leonid Schembri and Emma Inglott.
Daniel Hutchines won the A event after defeating Sam Bonello in the final, with Paul Borg finishing 3rd. Congratulations as well to juniors Leo Ben-Ari and Jocelyn Lydall for competing strongly at the top level.
For ease of reference, here are the podium finishes across all grades:
A sincere thank you to Colette Sultana for volunteering her time and ensuring the smooth running of the tournament, and to FUEL10K for their valued sponsorship.
Beyond the results, the tournament was a reminder of the strength of the squash community at Marsa Sports Club — from the supportive atmosphere throughout the day to the encouraging progress shown by many players, particularly the juniors. Well done to everyone who took part and supported the tournament.
We look forward to welcoming players back for more Squash & Pickleball Section events in the coming months.

If you enjoy team tennis and you’re looking for a competition that feels organised without being overly intense, the CISK 0.0 Clay Court Team Tournament (Social) is a brilliant one to take part in.

Last Sunday’s Carnival Party at Marsa Sports Club was a great success, and it was a pleasure to welcome so many families to the Club for an afternoon of fun, games, and Carnival spirit. From the costumes to the energy on the day, it was a lovely celebration for the little ones — and a great reminder of what makes our community special.
The children enjoyed a packed programme, including face painting, craft activities, and plenty of sand play, alongside games and music that kept the atmosphere lively throughout the afternoon.
A special thank you to JumpMalta for their support, and to Kulu for providing the space and helping us host the event in a comfortable setting.
Thank you again to everyone who attended. We look forward to welcoming you back to Marsa Sports Club for more family events throughout the year.

Our Easter Egg Hunt is back at Marsa Sports Club for another fun morning for families and little ones. If you’re looking for a relaxed, well-organised activity during the Easter period, this is a great one to join.
Places are limited, so we recommend registering early.
Children will be grouped by age to keep things enjoyable for everyone, with a fun Easter atmosphere around the Club. Parents/guardians are asked to remain responsible for their children throughout the event.
If you have more than one child participating, please submit an application for each child.
Applications close on Saturday 28 March 2026.
If you have any questions, please contact the Club team/organisers.
We can’t wait to welcome families to Marsa Sports Club for a morning of Easter fun.
If you’re looking for an organised, social afternoon of tennis with plenty of matchplay, the BigMat Afternoon American Tournament is one to add to your calendar — especially as it’s being held on a public holiday, making it easier for more players to join in.
Taking place at Marsa Sports Club on Thursday 19 March 2026, this event is built around the American-format style of play — meaning you’ll get a good variety of partners and opponents across the afternoon, with matches moving along at a lively pace.
American tournaments are ideal for players who want match experience without the stop-start feel of a traditional knockout draw.
You’ll play a series of mixed doubles rounds, and each game counts towards your overall tally. It’s a great format if you enjoy doubles, want to meet more players, and prefer a tournament that feels structured while still keeping things light and social.
To help ensure enjoyable matches for everyone, players will be placed into two divisions based on level:
This approach keeps matchplay balanced and gives players the chance to compete within the right group.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in each division, based on total games won across all rounds, with vouchers kindly supplied by BigMat Malta.
If you’d like to take part, make sure you submit your entry by 12 March 2026.
For any queries, you can contact tennis@marsasportsclub.com.
Our thanks to BigMat Malta for supporting this tournament and supplying prizes. Sponsor support helps the Tennis & Padel Section continue organising events that keep our courts active and our tennis community growing.
