The Finductive Marsa Padel Open – Men’s and Women’s Events took centre stage at Marsa Sports Club last week, drawing in top national and international padel players for five days of thrilling competition. The tournament, sanctioned by the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation, was a showcase of the sport’s growing popularity and professionalism in Malta.






From the opening matches to the final points, the Finductive Marsa Padel Open delivered high-energy matches, passionate crowds, and standout performances. The tournament featured world-class talent and brought an electrifying atmosphere to the club.
On Sunday morning, the semi-finals set the tone for a spectacular day of padel, with four gripping matches that pushed players to their limits. The finals that followed lived up to expectations, drawing a large crowd and concluding the event in style.






In the Women’s Final, Ivana Kubickova and Julia Polo overcame Sylvia Uriarte and Paula Garbisu Irizabal with a strong performance, winning 6–1, 6–4.











The Men’s Final saw Santiago Antonaya and Borja Jimenez battle past Andrea Zammit Tabona and Jaime Menendez in an epic three-set encounter. After losing the first set 5–7, the Spanish pair mounted a comeback to claim the title 6–3, 6–2.

The Finductive Marsa Padel Open Mixed Doubles event took place at Marsa Sports Club between 16th and 18th May 2025, bringing together top padel talent from Malta and beyond for a thrilling weekend of competition, community, and sport.
From the first serve on Friday evening to the final match on Sunday afternoon, the Finductive Marsa Padel Open Mixed Doubles tournament showcased fast-paced rallies, strategic play, and a great sporting atmosphere. Spectators enjoyed free entry to all matches, and the club’s courts were packed with energy and support throughout the weekend.

The tournament featured 10 teams divided into two groups, with the top performers moving on to the knockout stage. The semi-finals and finals were held on Sunday, drawing a strong crowd of club members, friends, and padel fans.
🏆 Oier Zuazua & Elaine Genovese defeated Carol Cassar Torregiani & David Camenzuli – 7–6, 6–3
The final was a tightly contested match that reflected the high standard of play throughout the event.

Organised by the Tennis & Padel Section of Marsa Sports Club and sanctioned by the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation, this event is set to deliver intense match play, fantastic energy, and a celebration of one of the fastest-growing sports in Malta.
With a €3,000 prize pool, players will be competing for glory in two exciting events: the Mixed Doubles Event and the Men’s & Women’s Doubles Events.
