After many years of quiet tables, snooker is officially back at Marsa Sports Club.
As part of the revival of the Indoor Games Section, the Club will be launching a Snooker Tournament in early 2026, giving members the chance to return to (or discover) one of the Club’s more traditional games in an organised, competitive format.
The tournament will run at the Club from 26th January to 8th March 2026, with all matches played in the MSC snooker rooms. It is open to Marsa Sports Club members, and entries are now being accepted.
The Snooker Tournament 2026 will be played in a round-robin format, with matches scheduled across the tournament period.
Full conditions, format and rules are listed on the official application form and event page, but in brief:
• Tournament dates: 26 January – 8 March 2026
• Closing date for entries: Friday, 16 January 2026
• Eligibility: Marsa Sports Club members
• Entry fee: €15 per player
The tournament is organised by the Indoor Games Section, led by George O. Attard and Alex Cutajar, who will oversee scheduling, results and overall coordination.
This tournament is the first step in rebuilding a regular programme for the Indoor Games Section at Marsa Sports Club. After a number of years with little formal snooker activity, the aim is to:
• Bring players back to the snooker rooms in a structured way
• Offer members another way to enjoy the Club outside of outdoor sports
• Lay the groundwork for future events and social activities around indoor games
Members of all ages and backgrounds who enjoy snooker – whether regularly or occasionally – are encouraged to take part and support the section’s relaunch.
Application forms are also available at the Club reception.
Once entries close, the Indoor Games Section will publish the draw and match schedule, and participants will be contacted with further details on fixtures and reporting of results.

Snooker has long been part of the Club’s story, and this tournament is an opportunity to give it the platform it deserves again. We look forward to seeing the tables in full use and welcoming members to the Snooker Tournament 2026.
